The AI Usage and Settings page is where you keep an eye on how your team's monthly AI credits are being spent, turn AI off entirely if you need to, and connect external tools for the AI to use. This guide walks through all three, and shows you the one safe way to handle the system-wide kill switch.
How to review AI usage and manage AI settings in CornerSpot
Open Account Settings → AI Usage and Settings at /dashboard/settings/ai-usage. The page has three sections: your usage breakdown, the system-wide AI switch, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools registry.

1. Review your AI usage this month
Every account includes 1,000,000 AI credits free each month, shared across every AI feature: the AI Agent, sentiment, summaries, translation, suggested replies, the documentation assistant, and website Editing with AI. The AI usage this month card shows how many credits you have left, when they reset, and a donut plus a per-feature list of exactly where they went.

2. Understand the system-wide AI switch
Scroll to Disable AI system-wide. This one switch turns off every AI feature for your whole team at once. Nothing is deleted, and you can turn AI back on anytime, but while it is off no AI calls are made and the AI features are removed from the interface.

3. Confirm before you disable AI
Because this affects your entire team, flipping the switch does not take effect right away. A confirmation dialog appears first, listing everything that will be turned off. Read it carefully. If you did not mean to disable AI, click Cancel to leave everything on. Only click Disable AI when you are certain you want to turn AI off for the whole team.

4. Connect MCP tools
At the bottom, Model Context Protocol tools lets you connect external MCP servers so the AI can use extra read-only tools, like looking up an order or a customer record. Click Add server to open the panel.

5. Add a server
Give the server a Name, enter its Server URL (it must be an https address), and choose an Authentication mode. Pick None for a server that needs no sign-in, or OAuth to connect it after adding. Then click Add server.

6. Enable it per feature
The new server joins the list with a status pill. Once it is connected, use the per-feature toggles to turn its tools on for Live Chat, your Documentation assistant, or both. You can refresh its tools or remove it at any time.

Everything AI, in one place
The AI Usage and Settings page brings your credit spend, the team-wide AI switch, and your connected tools together so you can manage AI across CornerSpot from a single screen. The usage view is read-only, the kill switch always asks you to confirm, and MCP servers can be added or removed whenever you need.
