Your Knowledge Base is one library of help articles you write once and surface everywhere your customers go — your Cornerspot website, an embedded widget on any external site, and the Members portal. This guide covers the two everyday tasks: creating a new article from start to finish, and organizing the article list so readers see things in the order you want.
How to create a new article
You manage articles from Knowledge Base → Articles. Here's the quickest path, start to finish.
1. Open the Articles page
From the dashboard, open Knowledge Base and go to Articles. This is where every help article lives, with a New article button in the top-right corner.

2. Start a new article
Click New article to open a blank editor on a fresh draft. The title sits at the top, the rich-text editor fills the page, and an Organize rail on the right holds the category, tags, feature image, and SEO.

3. Give it a title
Type a clear, descriptive title — it's the first thing readers see, and it also seeds the article's URL slug (which you can fine-tune under URL & SEO).

4. Write your content
Write the body in the rich-text editor. Use the toolbar for headings, bold and italic, lists, quotes, code blocks, and links, and drop in images or an embedded video. Here we add a heading, a short paragraph, and a bulleted list so the article is easy to skim.

5. Choose a category
In the Organize section of the rail, open the category picker and choose a category. Every article belongs to exactly one — it's how readers browse your help center, and it's required before you can publish.

6. Check the URL & SEO
Open URL & SEO to review the article's slug — the friendly web address readers see — along with the meta title and description used in search results and link previews.

7. Publish
When you're happy with it, click Publish. (Publish stays disabled until the article has a title, a body, and a category.) You can Save draft at any point to keep working privately, and Unpublish later to take a live article back to a draft.

8. Preview the reader view
Switch from Edit to Preview (or Split) to see exactly what your readers will see — the published article page, breadcrumbs and all — without leaving the editor.

How to organize the article list
Within a category, you control the order articles appear in. Reordering is a simple drag-and-drop, with one rule: the drag handles only unlock when the list is filtered to a single category.
1. Filter to a single category
Back on the Articles list, open the category filter and pick one category. Once a single category is selected — with no search term, status filter, or column sort applied — a drag handle appears at the start of each row.

2. Drag to reorder
Grab a row by its drag handle and drop it where you want it. The new order is saved automatically and is reflected everywhere that category is shown to readers.

Drafts, statuses, and where articles appear
An article is a Draft until you publish it and Published once it's live; you can move it to Trashed and restore it later. Only published articles are ever shown to readers, so you can stage content safely. Because the Knowledge Base is one shared library, a published article appears immediately on every surface it powers — your website, your embedded widgets, and the Members portal.
Tips for a tidy Knowledge Base
- Lead with the answer. Readers scan — put the key step or fix near the top.
- Use headings and lists so the article is easy to skim on any device.
- Pick the category a reader would actually look in, not the one that's most convenient for you.
- Order articles within a category so the most-needed ones sit at the top.
- Use Preview before publishing to catch formatting and link issues in the real reader layout.
