How to manage your profile and identity in CornerSpot

Your profile holds the personal details you use across Cornerspot — your name, email, sign-in security, and the teams you belong to. Because these details are global, they follow you into every team you're a member of. This guide shows you how to view and update them from Your profile.

How to manage your profile in Cornerspot

Open the user menu in the bottom-left of the sidebar and choose Profile (at /dashboard/profile). The page is titled Your profile and is split into stacked sections — Identity, Password, Two-factor authentication, and My teams.

1. Find the Identity section

The Identity section holds your Name and Email. As the page notes, these are global — used across every team you belong to — so updating them here updates them everywhere.

2. Edit your name

To change how you appear across Cornerspot, edit the Name field. You can also update your Email, but note that changing your email sends a verification link to the new address — the change only applies after you click that link.

3. Save your changes

Click Save changes to apply your update. The button stays disabled until you've made a valid edit, so it lights up only once there's something to save.

4. Review your teams

Scroll down to My teams to see every team you belong to. Each row shows the team name, your role and status, and a Leave button for a team you no longer need. Leaving prompts a Leave this team? confirmation before it takes effect.

Good to know

  • Your name and email are global: they're shared across every team you belong to, not set per-team.
  • Email changes need verification: a verification link is sent to the new address, and the change applies only after you click it.
  • Leaving a team is per-row: use Leave on a team you no longer need. The owner of a team can't leave it — you'd transfer ownership first.
  • Switching teams isn't done here: you change which team you're working in from the topbar, not from this page.

Tips for managing your profile

  • Keep your name recognisable to teammates — it appears across records and activity throughout Cornerspot.
  • Double-check a new email before saving; you'll need to open the verification link sent to it for the change to take effect.
  • Use the same profile to find your Password and Two-factor authentication settings, just below Identity.
