How customers manage their subscriptions in the CornerSpot member portal

Your members portal gives customers a self-service home for their recurring plans. In the portal's Subscriptions section they can review what they're billed for and manage their own subscriptions — turning auto-pay on or off, pausing and resuming, and cancelling — without contacting you. These customer-side actions mirror the lifecycle controls you have in the dashboard, so it helps to know exactly what your customers see.

From a subscription's detail page in the dashboard, you can Pause it or schedule a Cancel at period end. Your customers get these same controls in their portal — so anything they do there, you can also see and do from here.

What customers see in the portal

When a customer signs in to your members portal, they open Subscriptions from the menu to see their plans.

Each subscription appears as a card showing its name and status, the recurring amount and billing frequency (for example, per month), the next bill date, and an auto-pay switch. Paused plans show "Resumes when you reactivate" instead of a next-bill date.

What customers can do themselves

  • Turn auto-pay on or off. The auto-pay switch on the card lets the customer have invoices charged automatically to a saved payment method. Auto-pay requires an eligible card or bank payment method on file, and it's only available while the subscription is active.
  • Pause and resume. An active subscription can be Paused from the card — this stops billing and turns auto-pay off — and a paused one can be Resumed to restart billing on the current schedule.
  • Cancel. The Cancel button opens a short dialog explaining what happens, then asks for a reason.

How customer cancellation works

When a customer clicks Cancel, the portal first explains the outcome: service continues through the end of their current billing period, there are no more charges after that, and they keep access to their invoice history. It also offers to pause instead. If they continue, they choose a reason and confirm.

After they confirm, the portal posts a confirmation that "Service continues until the end of your current billing period." — the subscription is scheduled to end gracefully rather than being cut off immediately. You'll see the change reflected on the subscription in your dashboard.

Showing or hiding the Subscriptions section

The Subscriptions section appears in your members portal by default. You can show or hide it (and rename it) from your Portal Settings menu configuration, so your customers only see the sections that apply to them.

Tips

  • Customer-side pause, resume, cancel, and auto-pay changes mirror your dashboard lifecycle controls — and stay in sync both ways.
  • Cancelling from the portal is a graceful "cancel at period end," not an immediate cutoff — the customer keeps service through the period they've paid for.
  • If a customer can't enable auto-pay, they likely don't have an eligible saved payment method yet; have them add a card or bank method first.
