Sometimes an account no longer belongs in your CRM — a duplicate, a test record, or a company you'll never work with again. In Cornerspot you can delete an account in seconds, right from the Accounts table. And because deletes are recoverable for 30 days, you can clean up confidently. This guide shows you how.
How to delete an account in Cornerspot
Deleting an account takes just a few clicks from the Accounts page — no need to open the record first.
1. Find the account and click the trash icon
From the dashboard, open Accounts. Locate the company you want to remove and click the trash (Delete account) icon in the Actions column of its row.

2. Review the confirmation
A confirmation dialog appears so you don't delete anything by accident. It also reminds you that the account isn't gone for good — deleted items can be restored from Trash for 30 days. If the account has related contacts or deals, the dialog lists what will be affected so you know exactly what's happening before you continue.

3. Confirm the deletion
Click the Delete button in the dialog to confirm. The account is removed from your Accounts list immediately and a confirmation message appears.

4. The account is removed
The account drops out of the list right away, and a toast confirms “Deleted items can be restored from Trash for 30 days.” That's all there is to it.

What happens when you delete an account
Deleting an account in Cornerspot is a soft delete. The account is hidden from your Accounts list and excluded from filters, reports, and searches, but it is not permanently erased straight away:
- 30-day recovery window: Both the confirmation dialog and the success message state that deleted items can be restored from Trash for 30 days.
- Restore or remove for good: Administrators can open Settings → Trash to see recently deleted records, restore an account, or permanently delete it before the window ends.
- Related records: If an account has linked contacts or deals, the deletion dialog tells you how they're handled — and any cascaded records share the same restore window, so restoring the account brings them back together.
How to restore a deleted account
Changed your mind? As long as you're within the 30-day window, an administrator can recover the account:
- Open Settings → Trash.
- Find the account in the list of recently deleted records (use the date-range filters, such as Last 7 days or Last 30 days, to narrow it down).
- Click Restore to bring it back, or permanently delete it if you're sure it's no longer needed.
After 30 days, deleted accounts expire from Trash and are removed for good.
Tips for deleting accounts safely
- Read the confirmation dialog: If the account has related contacts or deals, the dialog shows what will be affected — review it before confirming.
- Use bulk delete for cleanup: Select multiple accounts with the row checkboxes and use the bulk Delete action to remove several at once.
- Don't worry about mistakes: A delete is recoverable for 30 days, so you can tidy up your CRM without fear of losing data.
- Permanently remove sensitive records: If a record must be erased right away, an administrator can purge it from Settings → Trash.
