CornerSpot can send a deal’s contract for you, the moment the deal reaches the stage where it belongs. Instead of remembering to send the paperwork by hand, you arm an Auto-send stage on the deal, and the linked envelope is ready to send itself as the deal advances. This guide shows you how to set it up.
Note: this integration is available when your plan includes both the CRM and E-Signatures features, and only managers and admins can arm e-signature automation on a deal.
How to auto-send a contract when a deal reaches a stage
You configure auto-send from the deal’s form, in the e-signature panel. Here’s the path, start to finish.
1. Open the deal
From the dashboard, open Deals and select the deal you want to send a contract for, then switch to its Edit form. The e-signature options live on the deal form itself.

2. Turn on the e-signature integration
In the deal form, turn on Send a contract for an E-signature. The e-signature panel reveals beneath it, where you’ll pick a template, the auto-send stage, and the outcome stages.

3. Review the e-signature panel
The panel is organized into Document, Trigger, and Outcomes. Pick an Esign template in the Document section to attach a contract to the deal (see How to attach an e-signature contract to a deal) — this is what gets sent when the trigger fires.

4. Choose an Auto-send stage
In the Trigger section, set Auto-send stage to the pipeline stage that should trigger the send. CornerSpot sends the contract the moment the deal first reaches that stage — or any stage after it — so you only have to set it once.

If you pick a stage the deal is already in, CornerSpot shows a note that the envelope will auto-send on save — handy when you want the contract to go out as soon as you save the deal.
5. Save the deal to arm the trigger
Click Save Changes to apply the configuration. The trigger is now armed: the deal carries its template and auto-send stage with it as it moves through the pipeline.

What happens when the deal reaches the stage
When the deal moves into the trigger stage — for example, when you drag its card into that column on the board — CornerSpot doesn’t send silently. It shows a confirmation dialog titled “Send the contract for {deal name}?” so a manager or admin stays in control:
- Review the contract first: a link opens the envelope in a new tab so you can double-check it before sending.
- Send contract: emails the contract to all assigned recipients right away.
- Cancel: keeps the deal in the stage without sending — useful if you’re not ready yet.
If you cancel, the deal form shows a “Contract send pending” banner so the send isn’t lost. From there you can Send now when you’re ready, or Dismiss to clear it.
Tips
- Attach the template first — the auto-send stage triggers the linked envelope, so there has to be one to send.
- Pick a trigger stage that maps to “contract time” in your process, such as Proposal or Negotiation.
- Pair this with outcome stages (success and failure) so the deal also moves itself once the contract is signed or declined.
- Remember that only managers and admins can arm the automation and confirm the send.
