Getting started with Subscriptions in CornerSpot

The Subscriptions area is where you set up and track recurring billing for your customers. A subscription is a recurring billing relationship between one customer (an account) and your team, made up of line items billed on a schedule. This guide gives you a quick tour so you know where everything lives before you dive into the rest of the Subscriptions guides.

Where to find Subscriptions

Subscriptions lives under Members & Billing in the left-hand menu, at /dashboard/billing/subscriptions. Select it to open your subscriptions list.

The Subscriptions list

The list page is your home base for recurring billing. The header shows how many subscriptions you're tracking, and the New Subscription button in the top-right starts a new one from scratch. You can also convert a closed-won deal straight into subscriptions.

Search and filters

Above the table you'll find tools to find the subscription you're after:

  • Search subscriptions… — matches the description, customer name, line-item description, and product name.
  • Filter by Status — Trialing, Active, Paused, Past due, Cancelled, or Expired.
  • Filter by Frequency — Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-annual, or Annual.
  • Date — Any time, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days (by when subscriptions started).

The columns

Each row is one subscription, with these columns:

  • Number — the subscription id, like SUB-000001.
  • Customer — the account being billed.
  • Items — what the subscription charges for.
  • Amount — the recurring charge.
  • Frequency — how often it bills.
  • Status — where the subscription is in its lifecycle.
  • Next Invoice — when the next invoice will be generated.
  • Started — when the subscription began.

Click a sortable column header to reorder the list, and click any row to open that subscription's detail page.

Good to know

  • Invoices are automatic: subscriptions generate an invoice each billing period. Invoices and payments are covered in their own guides.
  • From a deal: a closed-won deal can be converted straight into one or more subscriptions, carrying over its line items.
  • On your plan: Subscriptions is part of the Billing feature. If your current plan doesn't include billing, you'll see an upsell with an Add prompt instead of the list.
