How to set up your sales pipelines in CornerSpot

A pipeline is the path your deals follow from first contact to closed. Cornerspot lets you run as many pipelines as you need — one for new business, another for renewals or partnerships — each with its own set of stages. This guide shows you how to create a pipeline from the Pipelines settings and how to manage it afterwards.

How to create a pipeline in Cornerspot

You set up pipelines from the Pipelines page in your settings. Here's the quickest path, start to finish.

1. Open the Pipelines page

From your Account Settings, open the Pipelines tile (at /dashboard/settings/pipelines), described as "Configure your sales pipelines and stages." Every pipeline lives here, with a New Pipeline button in the top-right corner.

2. Click “New Pipeline”

Select New Pipeline to open the panel. It slides in from the right so you never lose your place in the list.

3. Enter a name

Give your pipeline a clear Name that describes the deals it tracks — for example "New Business" or "Renewals". The name is required and must be unique within your team.

4. Set the Active and Default toggles

Two toggles control how the pipeline behaves:

  • Active — Active pipelines are front and center; inactive ones stay usable but less prominent, so you can retire a pipeline without deleting it.
  • Default — The default pipeline is where new deals land unless you pick another. Only one pipeline can be the default at a time, so turning this on for a new pipeline moves the default off whichever pipeline had it.

5. Create the pipeline

When everything looks right, click Create Pipeline. Cornerspot saves it and the new pipeline appears in your list right away.

6. Your pipeline is ready

The new pipeline shows as a card in the list, with a Default badge (if you set it) and an Active or Inactive badge. From the card you can manage everything about it.

Adding stages to your pipeline

A brand-new pipeline starts out with no stages. Stages are the steps a deal moves through, and they become the columns on your deals board, so this is where the pipeline really takes shape.

1. Click “Add Stage” on the pipeline card

Each pipeline card has an Add Stage button along the bottom. Click it to open the stage panel.

2. Name the stage and set its win probability

Give the stage a Name such as "Introduction" or "Proposal Sent", then set the Win Probability — the percentage chance a deal in this stage closes. Cornerspot uses it to weight your forecast, so an early stage might sit at 10% and a late one at 75%.

Two more toggles mark the ends of your process:

  • Closed Won — deals that reach this stage count as won.
  • Closed Lost — deals that reach this stage count as lost.

Leave both off for the ordinary, in-progress stages. Closed stages are hidden on the board until you click Show closed.

3. Save it, then repeat for each step

Click Add Stage to save. The stage joins the card immediately, and you can keep going until every step of your sales process is there. Stages appear in the order deals move through them, and each row has a drag handle on the left, so you can reorder them at any time. Edit reopens a stage's settings, and the × removes it.

Seeing your pipeline on the deals board

Your pipeline is ready to use the moment its stages exist. To see it, open Deals from the sidebar and switch to the board view with the toggle in the top-right, next to New Deal.

The board opens on your default pipeline. Every active pipeline gets a tab across the top, showing its open deal count and total value — click your new pipeline's tab to switch to it. Each stage you added is now a column, in the order you set, waiting for deals to be dropped in.

From here you can drag deals between columns to move them along, or use a column's quick-add to create a deal directly in that stage. Your board and your pipeline settings are always the same thing, seen two ways.

Managing a pipeline from its card

Each pipeline card carries the actions you'll use day to day:

  • Set Default — Make this the pipeline new deals land in (shown when it isn't already the default and is active).
  • Deactivate / Activate — Toggle whether the pipeline is prominent. Inactive pipelines stay usable but step back.
  • Edit — Reopen the panel to rename the pipeline or change its toggles.
  • Delete — Remove a pipeline you no longer need. The trash button is disabled while the pipeline still has deals in it, and shows the deal count so you know how many to move first.
  • Add Stage — Build out the stages deals move through, right on the card.

Tips for setting up pipelines

  • Keep one default pipeline for your everyday deals, and add others for distinct workflows like renewals or partnerships.
  • Prefer Deactivate over Delete when you might want a pipeline back — inactive pipelines keep their history and can be reactivated anytime.
  • Move deals out of a pipeline before deleting it; a pipeline can't be deleted while deals are still in it.
