Discounts in Cornerspot are reusable definitions you set up once and then apply across your billing — to deals, invoices, and subscriptions. Each one is either a percentage off or a fixed amount, and they all live in your Taxes & Discounts settings. This guide shows you how to create one.
How to set up a discount in Cornerspot
Discounts are managed from Settings → Taxes & Discounts, which has two catalogs: Tax Rates and Discounts. We'll open the Discounts catalog and add a new discount.
1. Open Taxes & Discounts
From your Account Settings, open the Taxes & Discounts tile (at /dashboard/settings/taxes-discounts). It shows two catalogs — one for tax rates and one for discounts.

2. Open the Discounts catalog and click “New Discount”
Open Discounts (at /dashboard/settings/discounts) to see your existing discounts, then click New Discount in the top-right corner to open the form.

3. Name your discount
Give the discount a clear Name so you can recognise it later when you attach it to a deal, invoice, or subscription.

4. Choose a type and set the value
Pick a Discount Type, then set its value:
- Percentage — enter a Rate (%), such as 10 for 10% off.
- Fixed — enter an Amount to take off the total.
You can also add an optional Description and leave the Active toggle on so the discount is available to use.

5. Create the discount
When everything looks right, click Create Discount. Cornerspot saves it and adds it to your catalog right away.

6. Your discount is ready
The new discount appears in your Discounts catalog. It's now a reusable definition you can apply across your billing.

Where you can use discounts
- Deals: Apply a saved discount when working a deal so the numbers stay consistent.
- Invoices: Add a discount to an invoice instead of editing line items by hand.
- Subscriptions: Attach a discount when you build a recurring plan.
Because each discount is reusable, defining it once keeps your pricing consistent everywhere it's applied.
Managing your discounts
- Find a discount: Use the search box, or filter by status (Active / Inactive) and type.
- Edit a discount: Use the edit action on its row to change its name, type, value, or active state.
- Delete a discount: Use the delete action on its row. Deleted items can be restored from Trash for 30 days.
