Cleaning up your CRM keeps it useful — duplicate records, bounced emails, and people you’ll never work with again just add noise. In Cornerspot you can delete a contact in a couple of clicks, right from the Contacts table, and deleted contacts stay recoverable for 30 days in case you change your mind. This guide shows you how.
How to delete a contact in Cornerspot
Deleting a contact takes just a few clicks from the Contacts page — no need to open a separate screen.
1. Find the contact and click the trash icon
From the dashboard, open Contacts. Locate the person you want to remove and click the trash (Delete contact) icon in the Actions column of their row.

2. Confirm the deletion
A confirmation dialog appears so you can’t delete a contact by accident. It restates that the contact will be removed and reminds you that deleted items can be restored from Trash for 30 days. If you opened it by mistake, just click Cancel.

3. Click Delete
Click the red Delete button to confirm. The contact is removed from your list immediately, and a brief notification confirms it was deleted and can be restored from Trash for 30 days.

4. The contact is removed from your list
The contact disappears from the Contacts table right away. It isn’t permanently gone yet — it’s been moved to Trash, where you can recover it for the next 30 days.

Deleted contacts are recoverable for 30 days
Deleting a contact in Cornerspot is a soft delete. The record is hidden from your Contacts list and everywhere else it appeared, but it isn’t erased — it’s kept in Trash for 30 days so an accidental deletion is never permanent.
To restore a deleted contact, an administrator can go to Settings → Trash. The Trash view lists recently deleted records along with how long is left before each one expires, and offers a Restore action that brings the contact (and its links) back exactly as it was. After 30 days, items in Trash expire and are removed automatically.
Permanently deleting a contact
If you want a contact gone for good before the 30-day window ends, an administrator can permanently remove it from Settings → Trash. Select the deleted record and choose to permanently delete it; Cornerspot asks you to confirm because permanent deletion cannot be undone. Once purged, the contact can no longer be restored.
Tips before you delete
- Not sure? Delete with confidence. Because deletes are recoverable for 30 days, you can clear out clutter without worrying about losing something important.
- Consider a status change instead. If a contact has simply gone cold, updating their status (rather than deleting) keeps their history while removing them from active views.
- Watch for linked records. The confirmation dialog tells you when a contact is tied to other records, so you can see the impact before confirming.
- Permanent deletes are final. Only purge a contact from Trash when you’re certain — that action can’t be undone.
