A form's layout controls how each label sits next to its input — and it makes a real difference to how compact and readable your form feels. Cornerspot gives you three layouts to choose from, and the choice applies to the whole form and saves automatically. This guide shows you how to pick the one that fits the page your form lives on.
How to choose a form's layout
Layout lives in the form's Settings panel, right alongside a Live Preview that updates the moment you make a choice.
1. Open the form's Settings
From the form's detail page, click ⚙ Settings in the top-right. The Form Settings panel slides in from the right with a Layout section at the top.

2. Pick a layout
Choose one of the three layouts. Each one changes where labels sit relative to their inputs, and the Live Preview on the right re-renders instantly so you can see the result before you settle on one:
- Stacked — labels above inputs. This is the default, and the most familiar to most visitors.
- Horizontal — labels beside inputs. Good for short, dense forms where you want to save vertical space.
- Floating — labels inside inputs. A clean, compact look where the label tucks into the field.
Horizontal
Selecting Horizontal places each label beside its input. The preview re-flows immediately.

Floating
Selecting Floating tucks the label inside each input for a cleaner, more compact form.

Stacked
Selecting Stacked keeps each label above its input — the classic, default arrangement.

3. You're done — it saves automatically
There's no Save button for layout — your choice is saved the moment you pick it, and it applies to the whole form. Close the Settings panel and you're done.

Which layout should you use?
- Use Stacked when in doubt — it's the most readable on small screens and the easiest to scan.
- Use Horizontal for short forms in a wide space, where saving vertical room matters.
- Use Floating for a sleek, modern look — just make sure your field labels stay short.
- Always check the Live Preview at the form's actual width before you share it; the layout that looks best can change with how much room the form has.
