How forms work in CornerSpot

Before you build your first form, it helps to understand the simple model behind Forms in Cornerspot. It comes down to three words: build once, publish many, collect in one place. You design a form a single time, publish that same form to as many channels as you like, and every reply (no matter where it came from) flows back into one inbox, and optionally straight into your CRM. This guide walks through that model so the rest of the Forms guides make sense.

One form, many channels, one inbox

Here's the whole idea at a glance:

  • Build once. You design a form's fields a single time, in the Builder.
  • Publish many. The same form can go to four channels at once: a CornerSpot link, your Members portal, an embed on any website, or a page in your Website Builder.
  • Collect in one place. Every reply, from every channel, lands in a single Submissions inbox, tagged with where it came from, and can become a CRM contact automatically.

The key thing to notice: you never rebuild the form for each channel. There is one form. Everything else is just where it appears and where the answers go.

It all starts with one form

Every form you create lives in your Forms list. Open it from Forms in the left-hand menu, then open a form to work on it.

1. Build the form once

Opening a form lands you in the Builder. This is where the form is built, and you only do it once. Your fields are on the left, and a live preview on the right shows the form exactly as people will see it. A form is really just a set of fields: standard fields that map to built-in contact details (like name and email), and custom fields for your own questions. You arrange them here, and you're done building.

2. Publish the same form to many channels

When the form is ready, open Publish & Share at the top. This is where the "publish many" part happens. The same form can be placed in four different channels, and you can use one or several at the same time:

  • CornerSpot domain. A shareable link hosted on your CornerSpot address.
  • Member's portal. Make the form available to members inside your portal.
  • Embed on any website. Copy a snippet to drop the form onto any external site.
  • Website Builder. Place the form on a page in your CornerSpot website.

Each channel is also where you fine-tune that placement's styling and options, but it's still the one form underneath. (Every channel has its own step-by-step guide.)

3. Collect every reply in one inbox

No matter which channel someone uses, every reply lands in the same place: the Submissions inbox. Each submission is tagged with its source (the CornerSpot link, the portal, an embed, or your website), so you always know where it came from. From here you review, search, filter, and export entries.

Submissions become CRM contacts

Submissions don't just sit in the inbox. When a form is set to create contacts, Cornerspot matches each submitter to an existing contact by email or phone, and creates a new contact as a lead if there's no match, so new submissions feed straight into your CRM and your pipeline. (Whether a particular answer is saved to the contact's profile is controlled per field by the "Make this a Contact field" setting.)

Where to go next

That's the model: build once, publish many, collect in one place. When you're ready to dive in, start with creating your first form, then explore each publishing channel and the Submissions inbox in their own guides.
