When someone no longer works with you, you can permanently remove them from your team using Revoke access. They keep their own Cornerspot account, but they lose access to this team. Removing a teammate is an admin action you do from the Team Members page. This guide shows you how.
Remove versus suspend
Cornerspot gives you two ways to take someone off a team, and it helps to know which one you want:
- Revoke access is permanent — it removes the teammate from this team. You can still re-invite them later if they come back.
- Suspend is a reversible pause — it cuts off access immediately while keeping their place on the team, so you can Reactivate them whenever you’re ready.
If you only need to pause access for a while, suspend instead. Use Revoke access when the person is leaving for good.
How to remove a teammate in Cornerspot
1. Open the Team Members page
From your Account Settings, open the Team Members tile (at /dashboard/settings/team-members). This shows everyone on your team. Find the teammate you want to remove.

2. Open the teammate’s detail panel
Click the teammate’s row to open their detail panel. It slides in from the right, with their information at the top and a Manage access section below.

3. Click “Revoke access”
Under Manage access, click Revoke access — described as “Permanently remove this teammate from the team.”

4. Confirm in the dialog
A confirmation dialog asks you to confirm. It reminds you that the person “keeps their Cornerspot account but loses access here.” Click Revoke to remove them.

5. They’re removed from your team
The teammate disappears from your Team Members list right away. Their work history stays intact, and you can always invite them again if they return.

Safeguards on removing teammates
To keep your team healthy, Cornerspot won’t let you remove certain people:
- Not the owner: The team owner can’t be revoked. Transfer ownership first if the owner is leaving.
- Not yourself: You can’t revoke your own access from this panel.
- Not the last admin: A team must always keep at least one active admin, so you can’t remove the last one.
Tips for removing teammates
- If you’re only pausing access for a while, use Suspend instead of revoking — it’s fully reversible.
- Removing a teammate is permanent, but it’s not destructive — they keep their account and you can re-invite them anytime.
- Before removing your only other admin, promote someone else first so the team keeps an active admin.
