How to edit, reorder, and resize fields in a form in CornerSpot

Once your form has fields, the Builder is where you make it feel right — rename a field, add a hint, set how wide it sits, and reorder fields so the form flows the way you want. Every change is saved automatically and the Live Preview updates as you go, so you can see exactly what visitors will see. This guide covers editing, reordering, and resizing fields.

Where you fine-tune fields

Open a form to land on its detail page. On the left is the Builder with a card for every field; on the right is the Live Preview that mirrors your changes in real time. Each field card shows a couple of badges so you can tell at a glance what it is: Standard or Custom, and for custom fields, whether responses are saved On contact or kept Submission only.

Edit a field's label and help text

1. Open the field editor

Click a field card (or its edit icon) to open the field's editor drawer on the right.

2. Change the label and add help text

Update the Label — the text shown above the input — and, if it helps, add Help Text to guide people as they fill it in. There's also a Required field toggle here; some standard fields the Contact model needs are locked on, with the hint Required by Contact model.

Set a field's width

By default each field takes the full row. To place fields side by side, set a smaller Width. You can choose Full (100%), 3/4 (75%), 2/3 (66%), 1/2 (50%), 1/3 (33%), or 1/4 (25%) — for example, set two fields to half width and they'll sit on the same line.

3. Save your changes

Click Save in the editor drawer. Your changes apply with a confirming toast, and the Live Preview updates right away.

Resize a field straight from its card

You don't have to open the editor to change a width. Each field card has an inline width menu — pick a size from it and the field resizes immediately, no extra save needed.

Reorder fields

Grab the drag handle (⠿) on the left of any field card and drag it up or down to change the order. Release it where you want it — the new order saves automatically and the Live Preview re-renders to match.

Tips

  • Use half-width fields to pair related inputs — like First name and Last name — on one line.
  • Keep help text short; it's a nudge, not instructions.
  • Watch the Live Preview as you go — it's the fastest way to catch a layout that doesn't read well.
  • Changes save automatically, so there's no separate publish step for the fields themselves.
